Opera Series
Artist Statement
Our family listened to opera, including the Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts, when I was growing up. Opera is still one of my greatest pleasures, and I have subscribed to our marvelous Seattle Opera for over 25 years. When it is successful, it presents a passionate story involving nearly all of one's senses, and that is why I've represented operas in this series as worlds of their own, using cosmic photographs for visual inspiration. These are silicone laminated works which can be illuminated with either natural light or by LED panels.
